The Pulse of Entertainment: Trombonist Jeff Bradshaw Releases 5th Studio
Album ‘Jeff Bradshaw: 20' (July 28, 2023) - "Me and Eric have done many singles together,"
said trombonist Jeff Bradshaw about the featured artist on his newest single "Make
Some Time" - Grammy nominated R&B's Eric Robinson. The single is off of his fifth studio album "Jeff
Bradshaw: 20" (Music Matters Entertainment/SRG-ILS Group).
He continued about Eric, "He
is the most underrated songwriter in America. He was the right person for the song. We have worked really good together. He's
a God sent in my career...a wordsmith."
The "Make Some Time" single is the second release from the
album celebrating 20 years for Jeff Bradshaw as a solo artist. Jeff is the son of Norman Bradshaw, preacher and Jazz musician
who was youth minister at the United House of Prayer for All People in the Philadelphia area. Jeff at an early ag self-taught
himself to play the trombone. At church is where he displayed his talent for playing the trombone and producing music.
"I've recorded (as a trombonist) on (projects of) Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind and Fire, The Roots, Musiq Soulchild...,"
said Jeff when I asked about projects he worked on as a musician.
Bradshaw told the story of how he was at a nightclub
as a side man to an artist who regularly performed at a particular venue in the early 90s. The artist gets fired and Jeff
was asked to step up to the task. With his friends' blessing Jeff Bradshaw steps up and becomes a solo artist. Five albums
later he is celebrating the 20-year journey with "Jeff Bradshaw: 20".
"I'd hang out at DJ Jazzy
Jeff's home studio A Touch of Jazz," Jeff told me. "There I played for Jill Scott, Floetry.... This is the 20th
anniversary of my first (solo) album. Every song is...diverse. It just came together...with so many great producers and artists.
The whole process....is blessed." www.JeffBradshaw.com www.MusicMattersEntertainment.net SYNDICATED COLUMN: Dr. Eunice Moseley has an estimated weekly readership of over one million
