The Pulse of Entertainment:
Stellar Winner William Becton Releases New Single ‘In the Morning' from Upcoming Album, ‘The Broken Trilogy' (October
17, 2023) - "It's a layered sound," said two-time Stellar Award winning William Becton about
his sound which can be heard on his new single "In the Morning" (Becthoven Music Group).
"My music is genuine. I wrote the original version back in 2000 in Greensville, NC."
The "In the
Morning" single is from his upcoming new album "The Broken Trilogy," the last of his "Broken" projects.
The single is a remix of his 2000 classic "Joy in the Morning." Becton, also a producer, has landed #1 on Billboard's
Top Gospel Albums Chart with his hit single "Be Encouraged."
"My intent is...something different
every time you listen," he said. "There is so much information out there....but the Gospel doesn't change."
"I was born and raised in Washington, DC," Williams told me. "I went to the Duke Ellington School of
the Arts. I was a classical major... raised with that sound."
Becton received a full scholarship to college.
There he was introduced to the quartet sound and as a result incorporated that sound in his "In the Morning" remix.
Normally you will find him singing with his group William Becton and Friends, but this time he goes it alone, with William
Becton & Friends singer Trumond Lee as the featured vocalist, along with the original lead singer Scot Moore.
"I have a system of teaching voice," he said about the singers for William Becton & Friends. www.WilliamBectonMusic.org SYNDICATED
