The Pulse of Entertainment: Acoustic Guitarist Scott Fisher Releases New Album ‘Kingdom of Ego'

(October 27, 2023) - "I love to write about the state of the world in a not so settling way," said guitarist Scott Fisher when I asked about the meaning of the title to his newly released album "Kingdom of Ego" (1am Music). "It's a me, me, me energy in entertainment."

To share his view about the state of the world Scott offers a 13-song project that is produced by Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie, Sting and John Mayer). The sought-after musician plays acoustic guitar and Hammond organ.

"I'm a positive person," Fisher added. "I have a single titled ‘Still the Same.' I keep positive energy around me."

"It's a mid-tempo song. An R&B/Soul song, with a Hall & Oats vibe with AI generated palm trees," he said when we were discussing one of his music videos that I said had a Pop vibe.

"I work a lot better behind the scenes mixing and producing," Scott told me when discussing his solo album releases. "I try to put out my own (music) every year and half or two years. I... wrote the songs (for ‘Kingdom of Ego') in a few weeks. My lady was out of town, and I slept and worked, I slept and worked. I went to the recording studio to work...a drummer....helped me out with the record. It was done in 10 days."

"I tried not to overthink it," he said about recording the songs.

Scott Fisher has performed as opening-act for Brandi Carlile, Augustana and Pink Martini.
