to Rams Head on Stage November 9, 2023, For Two Shows by Dr. Eunice Moseley (November 3, 2023) - "The love of performing," said four-time Grammy nominated Boney James when asked
about what keeps him touring year after year. The legendary Jazz/R&B/Pop saxophonist "Detour" Tour is arriving in my
home state of Maryland at Rams Head on Stage Thursday November 9, 2023, for two shows. The Rams
Head on Stage facility was launched in 1997 and since have been always full of fans of its various artists performing on stage.
It also offers a restaurant, Rams Head Tavern. Aside from Boney other national acts to grace the stage include Keiko Matsui,
Peter White, Patrice Rushen, Maysa, and David Sanborn. "Every time I go on stage, I'm full of that spirit," Boney added. "It's
just like the first time I performed in high school...makes all the traveling...worth it." Still riding high off the success of his last album
"Detour" (Concord Records), James has released 18 studio albums. He has garnered four Grammy nominations. The New
York native also plays keyboards. By his early 20s he was touring as a musician for the Isley Brothers, Morris Day, Teena
Maria, Bobby Coldwell, and Randy Crawford. He launched is solo career in 1992 with the release of "Trust" (Spindletop
Records). Boney went on to collaborate with Raheem DeVaughn, Faith Evans, George Benson, George Duke, Jaheim, Anthony Hamilton,
Eric Benet, Dave Hollister, Stokey Williams, Kenny Lattimore and Angie Stone. He has released projects on Warner Bros. and
Verve Records before landing at Concord Records. James has topped the charts many times and stayed at the top once for eleven
straight weeks on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart. "We
are playing off of the ‘Detour' CD," Boney James said when I asked about his show at Rams Head on Stage November
9th. "It's (the ‘Detour' album') doing very well. We just released the 3rd single ‘Memphis'
by Big Mike, whose part of the band.' This is the best band I have ever had, they have the same love for performing." "The "Detour" album features Lalah Hathaway (vocals), Paul Jackson,
