The Pulse of Entertainment: Country Music's Will Wesley Releases ‘Ready to Ride' Single February 9, 2024 Circumstances'

(January 23, 2024) - "The second single is released February 9th," said Country/Rock's Will Wesley about his upcoming project "Ready to Ride."

The single is from his much anticipated, yet to be titled, album. Wesley's vocal sound is traditional Country, and his guitar playing brings that Rock vibe to his material. The first single from the new album was "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," a cover of Brenda Lee's holiday classic.

"I've always been traveling...and backing other bands guitar playing," he said when I complimented him for all the performance days he has coming up. "I was playing the Blues when I was a kid. Landed a job as music director for (Grammy winning Blues artist) Grady Champion...we traveled all over the US and Europe."

Will is the winner of the New Orleans International Blues Challenge. He has also toured with Larry Garner and collaborated with producer Phil Chandler on the "Both Sides of the Tracks" album featuring the popular single "Attitude." He has also collaborated with Swiss Rocker Florian Fox.

"I started building my own name in Switzerland...touring with a friend who was popular in the area. His manager had ties in Asia," Will added.

"I was horrified to sing," he told me when I asked about a guitar player releasing a solo project as a vocalist. "As a songwriter nobody could sing my songs, so I started singing my own songs. I got more and more comfortable (with my voice) by the age of 20-24."

"The traditional sound is what has driven me...artists like Hank Williams...those artists had an identifiable sound...you knew it was them. I said, ‘that's what I want to do'," he added.

Will Wesley has been doing it (Traditional Country) ever since. He has tour dates almost every weekend until April. Wesley, a Baton Rouge native, has played alongside Grammy Award winning Alabama, Jason Boland & the Stragglers, and Grammy Award winning Robert Cray. www.WillWesleyMusic.com
