The Pulse of Entertainment: T.G. Sheppard Releases New Single ‘You're Still the One' Featuring Kelly

(February 13, 2024) - "People through the years have asked us, ‘When
are you going to do another one?'," said Billboard Chart Topping Country singer T.G. Sheppard about
the new duet single release with veteran Country singer/songwriter Kelly Lang "You're Still the One" on
Valentine's Day February 14, 2024. "Kelly and I had done a duet album before, ‘Iconic Duets.' A couple years ago
we started picking our favorite songs and Shania Twain's ‘You're Still the One' was one of them. We caught her show."
The two Country
artists, icons in their own right, "Iconic Duets" album was released in 2014, and 10 years later they are blessing
us with another one. Lang is married to T.G. and when both of their voices are combined its almost vocal perfection.
"We
just finished the album," Sheppard said when I asked. "It is not yet named. We're releasing 2 of the 3 singles in
April and May."
T.G. Sheppard is so iconic, artists in the Hip-Hop genre know of his songs.
"I
am always amazed," T.G. said when I told him that a Hip-Hop artist that I know, knew of his legacy. "I met Kid Rock,
and he started singing my song. He said, ‘Yea, my parents listen to your music.' We are best friends now."
T.G. Sheppard
has 21 #1 Country songs ("Slow Burn" and "Make My Day" with Clint Eastwood) and 8 #1 Country albums in
the U.S. The Tennessee native was born Williams Neal Browder and is always on tour. In fact, he will be back on the road again
starting February 16th and will continue until October 19th. Accompanying him on tour for some dates are T. Graham Brown,
Janie Fricke, Moe Brandy, Moore & Moore, Jeannie Seely, and Kelly Lang.
"We both do our own shows," he informed
me when I asked. "Kelly joins us sometimes."
T.G. Sheppard's "Make My Day" single with Clint Eastwood ended
up on the soundtrack of the film "Sudden Impact." Billboard has named T.G. Sheppard one of their Top 100 Country
Artists of All Time. His latest album was in 2019 titled "Midnight in Memphis." Kelly Lang is a singer/songwriter
whose songs have been recorded by Ricky Skaggs, Oak Ridge Boys, Crystal Gayle, Jerry Lee Lewis and more. Aside from her duets
with T.G., she has duets with Olivia Newton-John and Sir Barry Gibbs. A three-time Star Search winner, Lang is a member of
the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame (2020) and has received the Icon Award from the Southern Women in Film and Television. She
has songs on the soundtracks of The Deal starring Burt Reynolds. An oil painter, her work appears in the homes of Barry Gibbs
and Oliver Newton-John. Her latest single release is "I Think It's Jesus" and her latest album is "Dragonfly"
(Springer Mountain Farms).
