The Pulse of Entertainment: Grammy Winning John Berry Re-Release Hit Single ‘Your Love Amazes Me' on Star
Vista Music
(July 12, 2024) - "It's my favorite place to perform," said
Grammy Award winning Country singer/songwriter John Berry who is re-releasing his #1 Billboard
Chart-topping single "Your Love Amazes Me" (Star Vista Music). "The people are there
(Rams Head on Stage) to hear the music."
John Berry will be performing his hit single "Your Love Amazes
Me" at Rams Head on Stage in Annapolis, Maryland Wednesday July 24, 2024. Penned by Amanda Hunt-Taylor and Chuck Jones,
‘Your Love Amazes Me" was originally released in January, 1994 as the third single to the John Berry self-titled
album. The single went to #1 on the Billboard Country Chart on May 21st of that same year and became his signature song. The
song was inspired by a true story, an experience of Amanda.
"It came out 30 years
ago," Berry said when I asked. "We just put it back out there to let them (fans) see what we had."
I saw a recent
live performance on Youtube of John Berry singing the "Your Love Amazes Me" single and his vocals were so awesomely
tight. When I learned that he had throat cancer and survived I was shocked by the quality of his vocals and told him so.
"God
is good," he said as we talked about his voice after cancer treatment. "Its so great, not because I can sing, but
faith (waiting to see), it's amazing."
John is originally from South Carolina,
then as a kid his family moved to Georgia where he still lives. He has garnered a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Carolina
Country Music Awards and is an inductee into the North Carolina Country Music Hall of Fame. A platinum selling artist, John
Berry has released 25 albums and 20 singles.
Currently on tour, John Berry after his stop at Rams Head on Stage in Annapolis July
24th will continue performing until the end of the year.
"It will be just me and my favorite couple of musicians, and my
wife," he said when I asked about his Rams Head concert.
John's wife sings backup vocals for him. I didn't know when I commented
on her harmony abilities being good. That's when he informed me that it was his wife.
"Yes, she harmonizes well,"
Berry agreed with me. "We been married for 36 years on July 9th. She has been singing for me for about 32 of those years!"
After Rams
Head in Annapolis John is off to NC at the Arts Pace of Stokes event; then Virginia at Jettie Baker Center; Tennessee at the
Franklin Theatre; Alabama at Princess Theatre Center; Ohio at the Keepin' It Country Farm event; Florida for the Orange Blossom
Opry; Illinois at the McLeansboro Fall Festival; Georgia at the Peanut Fest and ending the year out in November in Minneapolis
at the Paramount Center for the Arts. www.JohnBerry.com www.StarVistaMusic.com
