The Pulse of Entertainment: The Roulettes Signs with Rock Solid, Releases ‘Trigger Lip‘ and ‘On the Way Down' Singles
(September 6, 2024) - "My friend was going through a breakup," said
Juan Flores, lead vocalist in the Rock band The Roulettes, about his new single "On
the Way Down" (Rock Solid Talent Entertainment/Sony Music) - out September 6, 2024. "I had written
it before I knew it would be a song. I wanted to tell his personal story...his feelings...the positive and negative connotations."
The Roulettes
consist of Flores, Luis Marquez on bass, Sergio Becerra on drums, and Jose Luis Ibave on lead guitar. The release of their
"On the Way Down" single is in honor of Flores' friend who had an emotional struggle during his breakup. Juan told
me that he wrote the lyrics 15 -16 years ago. The band has a cover song reputation, so this original song is a special event.
It was their performance reputation that attracted the Rock Solid Talent Entertainment record label.
"We were a cover song
band," Juan pointed out to me when we were talking about their humble beginnings. "The cover songs were Hard Rock.
We're trying to do our own thing now."
I saw him singing with a guitar and asked about that and he said, " I DO play
the rhythm guitar, but we have a guitarist (Jose)."
"We get total freedom," Jose jumped in when I turned the conversation
to their new record label, the UK based Rock Solid Talent Entertainment, distributed by AMG/Sony Music. "They believed
in us from day one. We have three songs recorded....the third is coming out in three weeks."
I asked Jose if he was the guitar player Juan was talking about and he said, " Yes, I play guitar. I
wanted to be a drummer but picked up the guitar and fell in love."
Jose
told me he is also music teacher!
"By chance we were playing last year at a bikers show and one of their scouts were there who
loved us and said, ‘Do you have originals songs?!," Juan recalled.
The band's popularity is growing rapidly now
and so are their devoted fans.
"The audience...asked to be at all the shows," said Jose when I asked about how Hard
Rock fans are. "They keep coming back...repeatedly...through word of mouth."
The genre Hard Rock is at the top
of the music industry - revenue wise. It is the genre with the largest revenue stream for tangible (disk) record sales.
"We
have other alternative Rock elements," Juan pointed out when we were talking about The Roulettes' style. "Such as
Classic Rock (Beatles), lead guitar driven Rock (Metal Rock), and bass driven Rock (Pop Rock)."
As they said, the rest
is history.
The Roulettes has created their own sound and has a fast ride to the top of the Rock industry because of Rock
Solid Talent Entertainment's backing. The RSTE imprint debuted the group with the single "Trigger Lip." Then the
imprint released their second "On the Way Down" - a very high energy emotional Hard Rock selection that highlights
the talents of all the band members.
When I mentioned that there are not too many Hard Rock bands out right now, even though
this genre is selling the most in disk record sales, Flores agreed and pointed out, "We noticed....there is not a lot
of what we're playing."
The Roulettes' "On The Way Down" can be downloaded at Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music,
Tidal, Deezer and YouTube. The "On The Way Down" single was recorded in the Nororiental Recording Studios in Juarez
Mexico by Omar Villescas. It is produced and writer by Juan Flores, Jose Ibave, Luis Marquez, and Sergio Becerra. www.RSTELabel.com
