The Pulse of Entertainment: Film Producer Alander Pulliam Launches 98.8 FM, Secures iHeart Placement
(September 20, 2024) - "We've grown 315% in listeners," said entrepreneur Alander
Lee Pulliam, Jr. about his Gospel radio station 98.8 FM securing placement on iHeart.
"That was because of iHeart...it was amazing."
Alander is a businessman. Aside from his radio station, Pulliam is an
author, politician and film producer. He produced the BET Awards in 2016, 2018 and 2019; Black Rugrats in 2021; Fast &
Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw in 2019, and Family Matters TV in 2020. In 2024 became a candidate for President of the
United States running on a "A Man for Change" campaign. His books include "Navigating the Entertainment Business,"
"Alander Pulliam," "My Spot Ain't Yours: Stop Hating," "Ghetto Grace," and "The Warrior
Mindset."
"I've been in the radio field ½ my life...had a show on different stations," Alander said
to me when I asked.
The Texas native started on radio as an intern, then during Covid he went up in the ranks until his
focus went bigger.
"In Atlanta I was on 107.3. I wanted my own...representing
what my grandmother wanted and listened to," he said about his radio station.
