his new single "More Than You Think."
Robby's Country sound is taking the industry
by-storm. He is highly in demand with performances on the Late Show with David Letterman and as the opening act for Keith
Urban. Each month he boast an average 80,000 listeners on Spotify.
"I had 35,000 people
screaming my name," Robby laughed a little when I asked about being opening for Grammy and Country Music award winning
Keith Urban. "Artists stop me...they go, ‘Oh my god!' It inspires me. I still don't believe it."
Based in
Nashville, one of Robby Johnson's music videos won CMT Pure's 12 Pack Countdown. His debut single was made it to the Top 20
Country Radio Chart.
"It was my first single back then. I shot a music video in Jamaica," he said. "We put
it online and it got viral."
I asked about his songwriting process, and Robby said, "Sitting with a guitar fooling around
and it comes out. It takes a while to realize it is attached to my story. My grandfather was a big influence on me...my father
