The Pulse of Entertainment: Jazz Vocalist Lisa Bellamy Releases ‘What
Will It Take,' ‘Do You Hear What I Hear' Singles; Preps for Album

(January 7 2025) - "This song is a re-release," said Lisa
Bellamy Fluker about her Jazz cover of the classic "Do You Hear What I Hear?" "We
really, really love it. We had re-released it in 2021, but God said re-release it."
Though Christmas is over, praising the birth of Christ - for me - is yearlong. This is just a reminder. Lisa,
an ordained minister, is a Jazz/Contemporary Gospel singer/songwriter who works with her husband Jazz instrumentalist William
Fluker ("Praise Him"). Aside from their favorite Christmas song "Do You Hear What I Hear" Lisa Bellamy
Fluker is also promoting her Jazz single "What Will It Take."
When I asked about plans that they have for the future, such as other Christmas songs aside from their favorite "Do
You Hear What I Hear?" Lisa said with a slight smile, "I'm looking forward to releasing more...but we are led by
the Lord. What the Lord sends...we go for it."
William, aside from being a trumpeter and producer, he is an educator.
He is the music director at Messiah Baptist and music director for Yale's Summer Academy.
"We were traveling young Psalmists
with Edward Hawkins," Lisa Bellamy began her story with William when I asked.
The
Virginia native continued to tell me of a conversation she had while traveling with Hawkins where God was saying something
to her, you know - "do you hear what I hear?" What was heard was "your life will unfold according to His will."
Fluker, who
just received her doctorate from Princeton University, said she is so grateful that she was obedient to God's will.
"We trust what God has shown us," Lisa said sincerely as we start to end our
interview.
On plans for the future she said, "I just released a single from my CD ("What Will It Take"). Will
is ready to release a single from his CD...we work together." www.LisaBellamyOfficial.com
