(May 6, 2025) - "In ‘Tulsa Kings' (season three) I have a scene with Stallone (Rambo, The Expendables, Creed)," said actor Jayson Warner Smith (AMC's The Walking Dead, The Birth of a National, The Vampire Stories, Peacock's Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist) about one of three projects he is in, in 2025. "In ‘The Good Daughter' I have a scene with a young lady named Rose Bryne, who is a well-known actress and Brendan Gleeson. In Murdaugh Murders I have a scene with Patricia Arquette."

You have seen his face because as an actor he is everywhere. In Taylor Sheridan's Paramount +'s Tulsa King (season three) Jayson is cast as Walden Eustice an Oklahoma City liquor distributors who gets between three-time Academy Award winning Sylvester Stallone's Manfredi and Robert Patrick's Dunmire, who are fighting over the same turf.

In Peacock's The Good Daughter television series Smith has a recurring role as Pikesville Sheriff Keith Coin investigating a high-profile case. The series follows Charlotte and Samantha Quinn, sisters who have spent 28 years investigating a night of violence, when there is another attack but Charlotte, a lawyer now, is there to witness it this time. Two-time Emmy nominated Rose Bryne (Star Wars: Attack of the Clones/X-Men: Apocalypse) stars in the drama along with Primetime Emmy winning Brendan Gleeson (Braveheart, Mission: Impossible 2).

"Last year I got the biggest role, ‘Fight Night' as chief of police," he said. "(Working) With Don Cheadle. He was awesome...he trusted me.

I asked him about playing a real person, such as a police chief, and he said sincerely, but light-heartedly, "I found news files of him...I wanted to do a good job. Somebody related to him might see it!"

In Murdaugh Murders (HULU) he plays another real person, Bruce Dinwiddie, a banker friend of Alex Murdaugh who was charged with and convicted of the murder of his wife Maggie and their 22-year-old son Paul. Also, in the cast of Murdaugh Murders is Academy Award winning Patricia Arquette ("CSI: Cyber", Toy Story 4) who plays Maggie Murdaugh and Jason Clarke (Terminator Genisys) as Alex Murdaugh.

Jaysen Warner Smith, who is also a filmmaker, has been on project after project ever since Hollywood came to Atlanta. His credits also include American Made with Tom Cruise, Rectify, and Outer Banks. Aside from acting along side Tom Cruise, Sylvester Stallone and Don Cheadle, he has worked alongside Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Demi Moore.

"I was doing theatre at eight for fun," Jayson explained to me when I asked about how he got into acting. "In 1991 I moved from Atlanta to Los Angeles with intentions on becoming a big movie star. After three years parking cars I made a move back to Atlanta at the end of 1994. Had an agent and..."Heat of the Night." In 2008 legislation changed and Hollywood came to Atlanta. I went on auditions and booked work in 2010...and really got back into it full-time."  www.JaysonSmith.com
