The Pulse of Entertainment: Karen Waldrup Releases ‘Blue Cowboy Boots'
Co-Written by Grammy Nominated Ed Hill

(June 13, 2025)- "Out of the blue...he said I have a song," said Karen
Waldrup, "The Voice" runner up during season 25, about how her new single "Blue Cowboy
Boots" came to be. "My friend Ed Hill (Trish Yearwood)...has written for A-listers. He is so incredible.
He's been writing with me for 10 years."
"He came with the title and concept. He is an incredible songwriter.
Then he said, ‘You have to make yourself some blue boots," she laughed a little when we were talking about the
single.
Karen Waldrup is a very active Country singer, who made it to the Top Five on NBC's "The Voice" during
season 25. She has seven albums to her credit and has garnered 12 Nashville Industry Music Awards.
"My band that tours with me is the same band on the single," Karen told me when I asked about
her awesome band. "I started building (the band) slowly. First a percussionist, then guitarist. I had a band tour with
me for a long time. That changed during Covid."
I asked about her guitar skills, because sometimes she is on stage playing
her guitar and she told me, "I'm more a rhythm player. My strength is telling stories and connecting with the crowd."
Karen Waldrup
is internationally recognized with over one million fans online and over 400 million video views to her credit. An BMI songwriter,
Waldrup has been featured in Billboard and Rolling Stones magazines. She debuted with the album "Justified" which
appeared on four Billboard Charts.
"I always sang in the choir in church...school choirs," Waldrup told me when
I asked about her powerful Country vocals and stage presence. "When I went to college I sang in...college choir. The
college choir changed things for me. I started playing in clubs in the college area. I learned through trial-and-error."
The 2019
Torch Award winner will be on tour starting this month until October, 2025. www.KarenWaldrup.com
