The Pulse of Entertainment: Hip-Hop Duo JMC Princess Releases ‘Pretty' Single
by Dr. Eunice Moseley

(June 24, 2025) - "We love doing what we do," said Jo'Ana Carter
(18 years-old), half of the singing/songwriting/rapping/dancing duo JMC Princess that includes
her younger sister Jo'Lynn (14 years-old). "We started officially in 2024, but I had the idea since I was three when
we started Girls Club Initiative."
Through the years these intelligent and very talented young ladies built JMC Princess
into a brand. A brand that not only entertains their followers with live performances; writes inspiring songs like their new
single "Pretty" (JDUB Carter Music); produces quality music videos like the one for their
last single "Salty" which features their younger twin brothers; rap expertly, and dance effortlessly, but their
brand does graphic design work. In fact, the entire Carter family is full of talent. Their father, who you can hear moderating
throughout their work, such as for their "Salty" music videos and singles displaying the rhyming rhythm of a seasoned
Hip-Hop veteran rapper.

"My dad," Jo'Ana said when I asked who the male voice rapping as an intro to their music video.
"We grew up with it (him being a professional rapper). He actually started us off. I was in the studio...when my dad
was in the studio free styling...that's when I made the chorus to ‘Pretty,' the ‘pretty, pretty, pretty' I made
that at three. I was inspired when my dad and mom took us to Disney World."
"I was so inspired I became Valedictorian,"
Jo'Ana added with a slight laugh, " I received a full scholarship (University of Virginia)...I'm networking with other
people who speak different languages. I fell in love with the Japanese culture."
Her sister Jo'Lynn interrupted to
encourage her to speak Japanese for me and oh my goodness did she. She had the accent and flow as well as the words. Amazing
talent in these two JMC Princess(es). The "Pretty" single is their third, before their last one "Salty"
there was the debut single "Girls Club."
Jo'Lynn added, "We're going to Paris."
I asked her when and she
laughed saying, "Sooner than later. If we keep good grades."
"I'm going to Japan (one day)," Jo'Ana said
assuring me.
About the new single "Pretty," Jo'Ana added as we ended the interview, "We try to inspire young
girls." www.JMCPrincess.com
