The Pulse of Entertainment: Grammy Nominated Hip-Hop Artist Billy Dean Thomas Releases New Singles, Prepping for New Album, ‘MX,' Release October 24, 2025

(August 26, 2025) - "The album is coming out in October (24th)," said Grammy Award nominated Billy Dean Thomas about his new project titled "MX." "The current single is ‘Minding My Business.' The new single is ‘Praise Latifah.' It's a shout-out to Queen Latifah, but also it talks about music, spirituality and healing. Its rap meets spiritual music."

A Harlem native that is currently based in Boston, Billy is an accomplished Hip-Hop artist and producer that fuses Hip-Hop, R&B and Electronic Music together to make a fresh sound.

"I try to stay focused," Thomas said when we were talking about the journey so far that includes career milestones (Grammy nomination and an appearance on "The View"). "That album (Grammy nominated) was for children...a children's album. I never imagined... It's an intergenerational album."

"The industry don't support positive music....so its tough to be me," Billy Dean pointed out.

However, with that said, Billy has achieved major milestones despite the industry's love for "drama." National Public Radio (NPR) in 2020 named Billy Dean Thomas their "Slingshot Artist to Watch."

As a songwriter Billy Dean has material on Alphabet Rockers' album "The Love." The singles on this album with the Billy Dean Thomas midas-touch include "Tina Trump" and "We All Go Up" which are featured on the HBO series "Genera+ion" and ABC's "Queens."

"Be who you are," Thomas said to his fans as we ended our interview. www.BillyDeanThomas.com
