The Pulse of Entertainment: Reflections of 2025 by Entertainment
Columnist Dr. Eunice Moseley
(December 30, 2025) - As always, another year of interviews
and reviews that were breathtaking for me. Let's reflect on 2025 a little on some of those interviews
and reviews.
The year 2025 started with an interview with five-time Grammy Award winning Jazz bassist Esperanza
Spaulding (Irma Nejando) about her "Past, Present and Future Tour." The Concord Records' musician's
tour included Jazz dancers! Another artists' tour that was covered in The Pulse of Entertainment was Jazz vocalist Aaron
Akins. He was interviewed about his "When Do We Love Tour." A Broadway performer Akins' single "When
Do We Love" features Wallace and Walter Scott (The Whispers).
Another artist, maybe not too well known to my readers that was interviewed
is Reviving Dayvid. He is a Rock Gospel artist that has a powerful voice and message. Both Reviving
Dayvid and Aaron Akins participated in my Uplifting Minds II Entertainment Conference. Aaron Akins as a panelist and Dayvid
performed his single "No Labels."
Marvin Sapp was interviewed twice in 2025. Once for his first
and only R&B album called "If I Was an R&B Singer" and the second interview was about his newest album release
"Right at His Feet." In addition, his hometown renamed a street (where the church he founded, Lighthouse Life Center,
is located) after his late wife Dr. MaLinda Prince-Sapp. Following the first 2025 interview with Marvin is an interview with
Jazz saxophonist Kim Waters about his new Shanachie Entertainment album "Time 2 Groove."
Following
Kim Waters, another stand-out interview was with nine-time Grammy nominated and two-time Emmy Award winner B.Slade (Anthony
Charles Williams) about his Las Vegas show at the Westgate Resort and Casino where such icons as Diana Ross and Chaka Khan
had residencies. Formerly known as Gospel artist Tonex, B.Slade was once Janet Jackson's choreographer. Grammy winning legend Hezekiah
Walker had a list of things happening, such as receiving the key to the city of New York; the launch of the
Hezekiah Walker Center for Gospel Music on the campus of Virginia Union University; his Walk of Fame also at the Virginia
Union University, and the opening of his 10 story/236-unit complex with affordable housing.
A review of the Robin
Simone Hollywood Orchestra concert at the Herb Alpert Vibrato Jazz Restaurant followed. Robin and her orchestra
gave a million-dollar performance. As 2025 came to an end an interview with the choir master of the three-time Grammy Award
winning Soweto Gospel Choir came through. It was about the continuation of their Hope Tour in America. Legendary comedian Marc
Yaffee interview followed. We talked about his constant touring and about being honored with Entertainer of
the Year. Last highlight for 2025 is the interview with 12-time Grammy Award winning saxophonist Kirk Whalum (Whitney
Houston's "I Will Always Love You") about officiating marriages outside of the church.
What a year! Now, let's
see what 2026 brings. http://www.ThePulseofEntertainment.com
