The Pulse of Entertainment: Senior Pastor San Franklin Releases ‘El
Shaddai' on Enon Music Group, Co-Produced by John Matt Clark
(June 19, 2026) - "It's a six-year-old song I wrote with
my producer during the pandemic. We didn't know what to expect and I asked the Lord to help us. ‘El Shaddai' came to
us," said Grammy Award winning San Franklin (Apostle Grisanthia Franklin) about her latest single "El
Shaddai (God Almighty)" (Enon Music Group). "I sang it the next day at an event...‘your name, we're
calling out your name'."
Aside from her vocals, Franklin is also a songwriter and producer. San schooled me
about the meaning of "El Shaddai" when I asked, saying its a Hebrew name meaning "God Almighty." The new
single is co-written and co-produced by Franklin and John Matt Clark.
"We're living in a political pandemic. I hope
we get back to the name of Jesus Christ. We know how He provides," she pointed out.
San Franklin hopes that listeners
of the "El Shaddai (God Almighty)" single find comfort in past experiences when Almighty God came just-in-time.
I call it God's timing. "El Shaddai (God Almighty)" was originally on her 15-track debut album "The Free Project"
(Enon Music Group) in 2020.
"There are a lot of things we subscribe to in His name," San said. "We have to understand
His name...His character."
Enon Music Group has San Franklin on tour, the "I Still Believe" tour. The tour also
features performances from labelmates Zak Williams & 1 AKORD, Jamar Esaw & Triad 4 Christ and Dr. Alyn E. Waller.
Franklin's music career spans over 40 years as a sought-after vocalist, arranger, vocal producer, and background vocalists
in Gospel, Country and R&B genres. She serves as Senior Pastor at The Love Center South Church in Nashville.
Franklin
contributed to the 2023 album "The Urban Hymnal" of Tennessee State University Aristocrat of Bands as a featured
vocalist on their single "Purpose." That album won a Grammy Award for "Best Roots Gospel Album" adding
that honor to her own credits. Franklin has recorded also with Yolanda Adams, Jill Scott, The Clark Sisters, Donnie McClurkin
and Cece Winans. She also founded the Kingdom Love Worship Center in Nashville.
"When you don't know Him, you can't say
(what He would ask you to do)," said Franklin, a Chicago native, as we ended our interview on the release of the "El
Shaddai (God Almighty)" single. www.EnonMusic.com/artist/san-franklin/
