The Pulse of Entertainment: Contemporary Gospel Artist Zaneta Debuts
with ‘Wanna Praise Ya' Single on Aria 51 Records (April 25, 2023) - "I did it for my dad," said singer/songwriter Zaneta about
her debut single "Wanna Praise Ya" (Aria 51 Records). "A disabled veteran... He
has Alzheimer. He was always an advocate for me being in music. I never missed a piano lesson since four. I owe a lot to him,
not saying my mother didn't support me because she was a singer."
The Alabama native, born Jamese Lockett,
is also a composer and has earned a JD (a Juris Doctorate in Law). The Contemporary Gospel artist, inspired by her father,
became Zaneta with a revelation to make her mark on the music world just as her father envisioned that she would.
"I have a JD in entertainment law...wanted the knowledge," she said. "Because my dad said always have a plan
B."
I asked her what she think her father would say about the single "Wanna Praise Ya" because she
said he was also an honest critic, and she said, "He would love it. He was a minister, so he would listen to the lyrics
first. He told me to be myself, my authentic self."
"Before he got sick, he asked me, ‘What are
you doing with your music?'," Zaneta added "Then I made him a promise..."
Zaneta's musical influences
are Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary and Keke Sheard. Her talent and desire to keep her promise to her father gave her the strength
to balance that new journey with her life as a single parent to two sons with Autism. Her desire is that her music will inspire
and encourage others. Her debut single "Wanna Praise Ya" is offered for free only at HypedDit.com/Zaneta/WannaPraiseYa-1. www.Zaneta2023.com SYNDICATED
