The Pulse of Entertainment: Rebecca Jade's ‘Shade of Jade' is Laced Beautifully with Jazz

(December 6, 2022) - "I feel the album has a flow...things people can relate to...love, loss, endurance," said Jazz singer Rebecca Jade about her latest album "A Shade of Jade," which is a beautiful Jazz project that is laced with R&B and Pop.

Co-produced with Carnell Harrell, the project features Dave Koz (sax), Eric Darius (sax), Harrell (keyboard), Kyle Bolden (guitar), Raymond McKinley (bass), Marcus "Slim" Shaw (bass), Tommy Aros (percussion), Alfred Howard (percussion), Alex Bailey (drums), Marta Z (violin and viola), Erdis Maxhelaku (cello), Derek Cannon (trumpet), John Rekevics (sax, flute, baritone), and Charles Streeter, Sr. (drums). Veronica May co-wrote "Bottle Up Magic" featuring Darius on sax.

Jade tours with Jazz living legend Dave Koz and Eric Darius. She just ended a tour with Eric Darius that took her to Newport Beach, Dallas, St. Louis, Barbados, Daytona Beach, and many other cities. Rebecca started performing on the Dave Koz Christmas tour that ends December 23, 2022, and then she is performing for Rick Braun's New Year's Eve shows December 30 - 31st.

Rebecca Jade's vocals are smooth in the Jazz realm and popping in the Pop realm, with R&B laced throughout all her vocal deliveries. Her musical backers are all beautifully arranged for the "A Shade of Jade" project. Executive produced by Rebecca; the album offers ten tracks. My favorite songs include #1 "Show Me" because her vocals are so smooth, the background vocals are harmony tight, and the guitar playing by Kyle Bolden is superb; #3 "My Reason" because of the lovely vocal delivery by Jade and the sax playing by Dave Koz is so distinctive, and #10 "Insane" because I love how it switches tempo from R&B to tradition Jazz, from slow and sexy Pop vocals to crazy up-tempo Jazz, and I love Bolden's guitar playing, the keyboard playing of Carnell, and the drum playing by Wallace Walker, III - all so distinctive that they come across as performing solos, laced with the beautiful vocals of Rebecca Jade.
